The Committee of Education and Development equips young people with the skills, confidence, and experiences to take on leadership roles and make a difference. Through training programs, leadership courses, and civic engagement, the committee helps young people develop their potential and shape the future.
Change Agents – Driving Positive Change
Change Agents is a leadership program for young people who want to take an active role in YMCA and YWCA Denmark. Participants attend workshops on leadership and project management, work on real initiatives within the organization, and have the opportunity to join international exchanges. Through hands-on experience, they learn how to plan events, engage volunteers, and contribute to new projects that make a difference in their local communities.

Move – Leadership in Action
Move is a hands-on leadership program for young people aged 15-19, designed to build confidence, teamwork skills, and personal growth. Through challenges, workshops, and peer learning, participants step out of their comfort zones and discover their leadership potential.

Folkemødet - A democratic Festival for the Danish people
Folkemødet is Denmark’s largest democracy festival, and the committee ensures that young people from YMCA and YWCA take part in discussions, share their perspectives, and engage with decision-makers. By participating in debates, networking, and workshops, young voices are amplified and heard in the broader society.

Talentfabrikken – Developing Future Leaders
Talentfabrikken is a leadership course for 13-15-year-olds, providing early opportunities to learn, lead, and take responsibility. Focused on practical experience and peer mentoring, the program prepares young participants to become future leaders in camps, clubs, and other youth activities.
Through training, mentorship, and real-world engagement, the Committee of Education and Development ensures that young people in YMCA and YWCA gain the skills, confidence, and experience to lead today and in the future.
