Hope and action
The Committee of Faith and Christianity creates engaging and meaningful ways for young people to explore Christianity. Through creativity, conversation, and community, the committee ensures that faith isn’t just a spoken word - it’s something to experience.
YMCA and YWCA Denmark have joined the Green Church network – a step that reflects our desire to take real responsibility for the climate and our shared future. Rooted in a Christian understanding of creation, we believe that faith brings both hope and action.
Across the country, local communities are already taking part in climate-friendly initiatives – like serving surplus food or weaving climate awareness into camps and workshops. At the heart of it all is a desire to empower children and young people to act, dream, and make a difference.
DetMedGud – Where Faith and Curiosity Meet
DetMedGud is a dynamic devotional platform that turns faith into something tangible and interactive. With over 100 ready-to-use activities, including storytelling, games, and creative exercises, DetMedGud helps spark conversations about life, doubt, and belief in a way that feels natural and engaging. Whether through a paper fortune teller game or hands-on storytelling, it invites children and young people to wonder, question, and explore faith in new ways.
Reconnect – Finding Peace, Purpose, and Perspective
Reconnect is a weekend retreat where young people can step away from daily life, slow down, and explore faith in a personal way. Set in beautiful natural surroundings, it combines quiet reflection, deep conversations, and outdoor experiences to create space for new perspectives and inner peace.
With no sermons or lectures, Reconnect focuses on questions, shared moments, and personal discovery—whether around a campfire, on a nature walk, or in open discussions. It’s a chance to unplug, reflect, and reconnect with faith, oneself, and the world around us.

Godly play – A Hands-On Approach to Bible Stories
Stories in Sand is a creative and interactive way to explore biblical narratives, using sand, wooden figures, and symbols to bring stories to life. This visual and tactile storytelling method helps children engage with faith in an imaginative and accessible way. Whether used in children’s clubs, camps, or church settings, it invites young people to reflect, ask questions, and connect with spirituality in a way that resonates with them.

Taizé Journeys
YMCA and YWCA Denmark organizes annual trips to Taizé, a Christian ecumenical community in France known for its peaceful atmosphere and simple way of life. The trip offers young people aged 18-30 a chance to pause, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversations with others from around the world.
Daily life in Taizé includes prayers, music, and shared moments, creating a space for personal reflection and community connection. Whether you are exploring faith, seeking peace, or simply curious about the experience, Taizé provides a unique setting for meeting new people and gaining fresh perspectives.
