Fun and friendships

The Committee of Festivals and Camps creates unforgettable experiences where young people can connect, grow, and have fun. Through national festivals and local camps across Denmark, the committee ensures that children and young people can create friendships, explore new interests, and be part of a strong community.

Wonderful Days – The Festival for Young People

A week-long festival for 13-18-year-olds, Wonderful Days offers a mix of music, sports, creative workshops, and reflection, all in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. With participants from across Denmark—and international guests—it’s a place to meet new people, challenge yourself, and celebrate together.

Children’s Festival – Big Experiences for Small Participants

The Children’s Festival takes place every two years and offers a weekend full of activities for kids aged 6-12. They can join treasure hunts, craft workshops, and sing-along sessions, as well as enjoy live concerts and an evening disco. For many, it’s their first time sleeping away from home in a camp setting, where they get to play, explore, and meet new friends in a fun and safe environment.

Treehouse – Building, Exploring, and Connecting with Nature

Treehouse is an innovative camp experience where young participants design and construct wooden shelters in the trees. Through teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on learning, they gain practical skills and a deeper appreciation for the outdoors. Alongside building, the camp includes campfire gatherings, outdoor cooking, and group activities, making it an exciting blend of adventure, creativity, and community spirit.

BOOST – A Unique Learning Experience

Bringing together students from boarding schools across Denmark, BOOST is a dynamic mix of teamwork, learning, and fun. With over 100 volunteers leading activities, it gives students a chance to develop new skills, explore their talents, and connect with others in a meaningful way, making it an unforgettable part of their school year.

Camps Across Denmark

Across Denmark, local YMCA and YWCA associations host camps throughout the year, giving children and young people the chance to step into nature, try new activities, and build lasting friendships. Whether it’s a summer camp, a weekend retreat, or a themed event, participants take part in team challenges, outdoor games, campfires, and moments of reflection. The camps are shaped by dedicated volunteers and offer a supportive environment where independence grows and memories are made.

By organizing festivals and camps that inspire, challenge, and unite, the Committee for Festivals and Camps helps create lifelong memories and meaningful connections for young people across Denmark.
